Kolej Kediaman UM Room Fees & Charges – 2025 Rate Schedule

A clear 2025 breakdown of Kolej Kediaman UM room fees and utility charges for local, postgraduate, and international students at Universiti Malaya.

Residence fees at UM residential colleges are charged on a per-day basis. The semester fee is calculated as: daily rate × 126 days (18 weeks).

Single Room (1 person): RM 20.00/day — Estimated RM 2,520/semester
Standard Twin (2 persons): RM 7.50/day — Estimated RM 945/semester
Triple Sharing (3 persons): RM 7.00/day — Estimated RM 882/semester
Quadruple Sharing (4 persons): RM 6.50/day — Estimated RM 819/semester

Postgraduate and international students are charged between RM 15.00–RM 70.00 per day. Public applicants may stay at a starting rate of RM 15.00/night.

All fees include water, electricity, and UM Wi-Fi. Rooms are fully furnished. Approved electrical appliance fees per semester: hair dryer RM 10, laptop RM 20, printer RM 20, table fan RM 50, study lamp free. All other appliances are prohibited.
